I don't just play and have fun all the time, there's serious moments too. Actually these serious moments take up most of my time. Studying and doing research are full time while having fun is just part time. hahaha. I work hard and play hard. And... Last friday was The Day.

After 4 whole years, it's finally show time! Yeah I admit I didn't really prepare for the presentation, I did not even have a script or anything like that! Well it's all impromptu. I guess after months of intensive work, everything should already be inside me. I should have all the details at my fingertips. So I spent the entire night doing more background work- things that aren't directly involved in what I did, but more of whatever have already been done and proven. Hehe it's worth all the effort man! Luckily I did my homework the night before or else I would be screwed. The examiners indeed asked loads of questions regarding the background of my project. *phew*

Regarding the organisation of the whole presentation, I felt that it wasn't a good job done. At least from what we see as students. There had been complaints and protests about almost every aspect. We weren't sure of who our examiners were. Nor even how many there were supposed to be! We were made to stand there from 9am to 5pm, not knowing who the hell we were waiting for in the first place. You get what I mean? We didn't dare go to the toilet, didn't dare to rest our feet, didn't dare to grab a bite even if we were really really hungry just because we had to wait for our examiners whom we had no idea who they were. It's ridiculous. The worst thing was that there's a discrepancy about the number of examiners for each student. Some say it was 3, some said 2. For some students like me, I think we only had one. Don't you think it's unfair? It should be more standardised. Hmmm I'm not even sure, nothing is confirmed. The school wouldn't reveal anything substantial. We don't even have a clue how much the presentation was worth. 20%? 40%? God knows...

Eh.. it's the first time I actually wore formal wear. Seriously! I had to get brand new pants and shirt just for this. haha quite unbelievable right, but it's true. I have never had a serious full time job before so non of my interviews required me to be formal anyway. But I think it's so cool to look professional !! Seeing everyone in their best suits and dresses is quite an interesting and impressive scene. haha well, I have only seen my coursemates in lab coats, that's why...
